Foundational Truths That Shape Our Life Together
At Abundant Life Worship Center, our beliefs are not simply statements we affirm, they are truths we live by.
We believe theology is meant to be experienced, not just explained. What we believe shapes how we love, how we grow as disciples, and how we live out the abundant life Jesus promised in the church, the community, and the marketplace.
These beliefs are grounded in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ. They form the foundation for our worship, our teaching, our discipleship, and our mission as the Body of Christ.
This list is not intended to answer every theological question. Instead, it highlights the core convictions that guide our ministry, our decisions, and our life together as a church.
We invite you to explore these beliefs with us, not simply to understand them, but to discover how God’s truth brings life, freedom, and purpose.
We believe in one God — eternal, holy, and loving — who reveals Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the source of life, truth, and purpose.
Scripture: 1 John 4:8 — “God is love.”
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He reveals God’s love and makes abundant life possible.
Scripture: John 10:10 — “I came that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.”
We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active today, empowering believers to live transformed lives, grow in maturity, and serve God with power and purpose.
Scripture: Acts 1:8 — “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.”
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority for faith, life, and practice. It reveals God’s will and guides us in truth.
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16 — “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God…”
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. Through salvation we are forgiven, made new, and restored to relationship with God.
Scripture: Ephesians 2:8 — “By grace you have been saved through faith…”
We believe the church is the ekklesia — a people called by God, formed in Christ, and sent into the world. The church lives and serves in the church, the community, and the marketplace.
Scripture: Matthew 16:18 — “I will build My church…”
We believe every believer is called to follow Jesus and grow in spiritual maturity. Discipleship is the lifelong process of becoming who God created us to be in Christ.
Scripture: Matthew 28:19 — “Go therefore and make disciples…”
We believe God desires His people to experience abundant life now — a life marked by freedom, purpose, healing, and transformation, expressed in everyday living.
Scripture: John 10:10
We believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers for the building up of the church and the blessing of the world. These gifts are exercised in love and humility.
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:7 — “The manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.”
We believe the Kingdom of God is both present and future. Through Jesus, God’s reign is made visible as His people live out His will — manifesting Heaven on Earth.
Scripture: Matthew 6:10 — “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
